Nemlig improved operational efficiency, driving growth and long-term success.

Nemlig, Denmark’s leading online grocery retailer, struggled with siloed departments, misaligned teams, and unclear priorities, making long-term planning and daily operations a challenge.

As the trusted partner behind Nemlig’s award-winning platform and app, we took on a strategic role, helping Nemlig’s teams tackle these barriers by introducing the OKR framework – a powerful tool for aligning goals and unifying teams.

Today, we continue to work side-by-side, offering hands-on training and regular quarterly check-ins to keep everyone aligned and track progress, setting the stage for sustainable growth.

What is the OKR framework?

The OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework is a simple yet powerful way to set and track goals. Here’s how it works:

• Objectives are the big, inspiring goals that set the direction.

• Key Results are the specific, measurable outcomes that show progress toward those goals.

OKRs bring transparency and alignment, connecting goals across the entire organisation – from company-wide ambitions to individual contributions. They’re usually reviewed every quarter to keep teams focused and drive continuous improvement.

At IMPACT Commerce, we use OKRs not only to solve immediate operational challenges but also to set the stage for long-term success. Our work with Nemlig is a prime example of how OKRs can transform both business operations and culture.

After a year with the OKR framework, we've really unlocked new ways to make our processes better and smoother. It has helped us sharpen our focus, not just on daily tasks but also on building a stronger, more aligned company culture. The improvements we’re seeing have made a real difference in our teams' motivation and overall efficiency.

Combining STRATEGIC CONSULTING AND SPECIALIST SERVICES

We began with two days of training for Nemlig’s commercial team. Knowing that change takes time, we focused on helping everyone ease into the OKR framework and understand how it would shape their work and the company’s structure.

And we didn’t stop there. Every four months, we sit down with the team to review goals, align objectives, and celebrate wins. This regular check-in keeps everyone in the loop, showing exactly how their work fits into the bigger picture, helping them succeed in day-to-day operations while staying on track for their long-term vision.

Thanks to this approach, the OKR framework isn’t just a process; it’s become part of Nemlig.com’s DNA, shaping how the whole company moves forward together.

Working with Nemlig.com feels like we're all on the same team – no boundaries. We’ve built such a close collaboration that their team knows they can reach out to any one of us, just like their own colleagues. It’s this trust and openness that allow us to tackle even the tough conversations, keeping us focused on what really matters to move forward strategically and meaningfully.
