IMPACT strengthens its presence in Norway with
new Managing Director

Marius Kavlie-Jørgensen Økland joins us from NoA Ignite to lead our Norwegian business as we continue investing in the future of commerce across the Nordics.

We’re strengthening our presence in Norway with the appointment of Marius Kavlie-Jørgensen Økland as Managing Director. Joining us from NoA Ignite, where he led the firm’s retail business and served as a partner in NoA – The North Alliance, Marius will lead the next phase of IMPACT Commerce’s growth in the Norwegian market.

His appointment marks an important milestone in our Nordic growth strategy. While parts of the consulting market continue to face headwinds, demand for digital transformation across retail remains strong. Businesses are under increasing pressure to modernise their technology, improve customer experiences and turn digital investments into measurable business outcomes.

Building for the next era of commerce

Norwegian retailers are navigating a period of significant change. Legacy commerce platforms are reaching the end of their lifecycle, AI is reshaping how consumers discover and buy products, and continued pressure on margins means every investment must deliver tangible value.

“The consulting market is becoming more demanding, but retailers’ need for experienced partners hasn’t disappeared. What has changed is expectations. Businesses no longer want advice that ends in a presentation – they want partners who help turn strategy into execution and create measurable results. As we build our Norwegian organisation, we have a unique opportunity to create exactly that kind of business.”

About Marius Kavlie-Jørgensen Økland

Marius holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), specialising in strategy and management with a minor in innovation and entrepreneurship.

He began his career as a consultant at Capgemini, most recently as client director and advisor within Consumer Products, Retail and Distribution. For the past five years he has been Client Director at NoA Ignite, responsible for building an international business area and the firm’s push into the retail sector. His experience spans a range of engagements with leading Norwegian chains across grocery, fashion, building supplies, hardware, manufacturing, specialist retail and B2B commerce.

“Retailers have never had access to more technology than they do today. At the same time, they’ve never had less time to make the right decisions. We want to build a team that helps clients make those decisions and ensures they translate into real business impact, both in the short and long term.”

Accelerating growth in Norway

For Kasper Holst, Group CEO of IMPACT Commerce, the appointment is an important investment in the company’s continued Nordic expansion.

“Marius combines deep commercial understanding with broad expertise across technology, data, AI, strategy and business development. Just as importantly, he has an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven ability to build organisations. That makes him the right person to lead our growth in Norway and strengthen our position as a strategic partner for ambitious retailers.”

Recruiting to a partner-owned business

Founded in 1998, IMPACT Commerce has been partner-owned from day one, with no external investors. Today, we have more than 350 specialists across seven countries and delivered gross profit of DKK 255.7 million in 2025, representing growth of 20.4%.

Now, we’re actively recruiting consultants and specialists to help build our Norwegian organisation.

“We are building the Norwegian organisation more or less from the ground up, and the people who join now will play a decisive role in shaping what this firm becomes. We’re looking for people who understand the intersection of commerce, technology and business strategy, and who want to build something meaningful together with our clients. Our partner-owned model gives us the freedom to think long term and creates a genuine path to partnership for those who want to take ownership of that journey.”
