Streamlining a demanding procurement process

Moscord’s B2B order engine manages complex catalogues, variable pricing, and payment systems with loads of different paperwork.

Despite the complexity, the aim is to involve humans only when something goes wrong or when customers request highly specialised products.

When the Agentic commerce AI setup is fully implemented, the scenario will be:

• A customer submits a request for 200 different products on the Moscord platform.
• Moscord’s AI scans the marketplace automatically and chooses the right products for the customer.
• Then the AI agent will check list from supplier businesses in order to find out which supplier can deliver on any specific items from the request, that are not yet in the catalogue.
• Orders are automatically placed with one or multiple suppliers, and enquiries made for any missing products.
• The AI agent will place an order from the one or multiple suppliers and enquire about any missing products needed to fulfil the customer’s request.
• When the order is placed, the products can be delivered to the ship or a maritime logistics hub.

From many middlemen
to near-instant ordering

The ship supply industry has historically featured numerous middlemen and complex intermediary stages. This has resulted in a convoluted and inefficient procurement process that wastes time, money, and resources.
