A digital revamp
As the leading retailer of all things greens and gardening in the Nordics, Plantagen came to us for a digital revamp of their Salesforce setup. The brand’s more than 130 physical stores were thriving but with a pandemic being a reality at the time, the need for proper digitisation was urgent.
Plantagen needed a change in their partnership. Their team was looking for a partner that could provide both technical excellence and e-commerce knowledge, know-how and a hands-on approach. With a strong track record in Salesforce implementation combined with years of experience in growing digital businesses, our team was able to help Plantagen improve its digital commerce infrastructure and reach out to its customers efficiently.
Make it sprout with Salesforce
At Plantagen, you can buy plants, pottery and most things in between. Some things are big and heavy, others are small and delicate – and some things are alive and very much affected by their surroundings. Different products require different handling during shipping to reach their customers in a satisfactory condition.
On top of that, Plantagen offers several types of delivery from different locations, stores and warehouses and all that needed to be considered for the new digital infrastructure. And with lockdowns threatening all around us at the time, we needed to act fast and smarter than ever.
Speed is everything
We took on the task of helping Plantagen evolve its existing Salesforce solution. The way we go about any task is by delivering what we agreed on and doing it on time. Anyone who’s ever been involved in a complex project like this digital revamp will know that trying to release even earlier than targeted is very hard to achieve. Speed is everything, but it’s nothing without the proper delivery fuelled by great teamwork.
All of the above resulted in Plantagen being able to release a new Click & Collect solution weeks ahead of the plan – and in due time for local lockdowns forcing customers to shop their plants from their digital devices at home.
Split orders, home delivery and Click & Collect
Despite the project’s complexity and time pressure due to local lockdowns and stores closing, we released a website that offers both home delivery and pick-up in-store. By introducing a central warehouse, split orders and different delivery options – among them Click & Collect – Plantagen was able to stay in business efficiently and reach out to their customers fast, without interferences.
The results? In March 2021 alone, sales figures outperformed the entire year of 2020 for Plantagen’s e-commerce sales.
Personalised B2B Solution
Once we had the B2C website up and running, it was time to address corporate clients and create a B2B solution. When building the B2B platform for Plantagen we aimed to design an easy solution that resembles the brand’s current B2C website and enables business customers to shop online with a personalised experience and all the functionalities their businesses require. This includes a detailed registration process, corporate invoices as a payment method and automatic company credit check and approval.
